About Britney

Aloha, I’m Britney Gutzwiller.

I’m a mama of two — ages 16 and 10 — living on Oʻahu, Hawaiʻi, and teaching my kids at home. If we haven’t met yet: welcome to my little corner of the internet. It smells faintly of salt air and coffee, and nobody here will ever make you feel behind.

I’ve spent years serving mamas. I founded Bold & Brave Publishing and wrote The Best and Worst of Postpartum Depression, because the early years of motherhood nearly took me out and I wanted other women to feel less alone in them. Through my Be Bold Be Brave work, I coached women as a heartset and mindset guide. And on my non-screen days, you’ll find me behind the chair at my own Salty Soul Hair Studio.

This year I stepped away from the coaching industry and came back to something simpler and closer to home: helping homeschool mamas. Saltwater Sunday began as joyful printables created to support mama — and it’s becoming the thing I always wanted someone to hand me: a plan, a rhythm, and a hand to hold.

Mama of two, at home

Two kids at two very different stages — 16 and 10 — and a homeschool that has to fit real life, because it is my real life.

Rooted on Oʻahu

A working local businesswoman — Salty Soul Hair Studio — building Saltwater Sunday online for homeschool mamas everywhere.

How I work

What I believe, and what I’ll never claim.

What I believe

  • You are the right teacher for your child. Not the perfect one — the right one. My job is to help you believe it and plan like it
  • Rhythm beats schedule. A gentle rhythm survives real life; a rigid timetable doesn’t survive Tuesday
  • Joy is a strategy. Printables for joyful everyday moments aren’t a tagline — delight is what makes a homeschool last
  • No hustle required. Calm, steady, supported beats frantic every single time

What I’ll never claim

  • I’m not a certified teacher, and Saltwater Sunday is not a school — I’m a homeschool mama and mentor for parents
  • I’ll never promise your child’s scores, grade levels, or outcomes — I promise you a plan, a rhythm, and my support
  • I’ll never handle your state’s paperwork for you — I’ll walk you through it, step by step, while you stay in charge of it
  • I’ll never sell you hustle in a prettier outfit — if it doesn’t make your days calmer, it doesn’t belong here
come as you are, mama

Let’s make your homeschool feel held.

Start with a joyful printable, or step into the mentorship and let’s build your year together.
